Yes you read it right, Rockstar want to apologise for all the problems surrounding GTA Online since it launched on 1st October (Loosing players, ammo and money are just a few problems that have been reported over the past few days). They’re awarding everyone that has played GTA Online during October with $500,000 – sadly it’s only for use in GTA Online, but it’s a nice little gift for the people who have been frustrated with the games stability over the past week or so.

It does show how sorry Rockstar are though – before in game purchases were disabled, $500,000 of money to use on GTA Online was £6.99 so they’re effectively giving every single player £7.

“For players who experienced cloud server errors, connection issues, and lost game progress and characters in these first days of GTA Online, we hope this GTA$ helps to facilitate a fresh start or makes your continued life in Los Santos and Blaine County extra sweet.” said Rockstar in a statement.

There are some regulations that come with this gift though. To keep the in game economy balanced, the money will be awarded by two payments of $250,000 each. It looks like everyone playing will be going from hood rat to high flying gangster, allowing you to buy a nice house, a few cars and of course a whole artillery to defend yourself in shoot outs with other players.

The two instalments will be announced by Rockstar with the first should come shortly after a planned update by Rockstar next week and the other by the end of the month (if nothing else catastrophic happens to Rockstars Cloud Servers anyway).
