BT are running the Worlds first Twitter Gameshow – #GuessThePrize!

I’m sure you’ve all seen the new BT advert showcasing their Big Broadband Sale with BT Infinity for only £7.50 a month right? No? Well it’s a good job they’re running a Twitter first – a live stream Gameshow where you Tweet to win prizes. Sounds good right?

Users will have the chance to win bundles of prizes by interacting with a live game show throughout the day tomorrow (10th January 2014). Prizes include an Xbox One, a Home Entertainment System, Barclays Premier League tickets and many more. Sound like your cup of tea? Well here’s what you have to do to be in with a chance of winning:

  1. Tune into one of the hourly live game shows (they start at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm) by clicking here
  2. Spot the £7.50 bargain amongst a range of different prizes that’ll run past on a conveyor belt
  3. Once you’ve spotted it, Tweet the name of the £7.50 item including the hashtag #GuessThePrize and mentioning @BT_UK
  4. All correct answers will be put into a draw and a winner will be chosen at random at the end of each live stream

If you’re the lucky winner, you’ll get everything that you saw on the conveyor belt! Each show will last for 7 minutes and 50 seconds (do you see the recurring theme here?) so set your alarms! What if you’re busy all day tomorrow? Don’t worry, BT has that covered too! Following the final show at about 4:08pm, there will be an extended prize draw featuring an image showcasing a bundle of prizes (as opposed to a conveyor belt). You enter the competition in the same way as before with the hashtag #GuessThePrize, mentioning @BT_UK and of course the item that’s £7.50. It’ll run for 5 hours and the winner will be announced at 9pm tomorrow evening.

£7.50 is obviously the recurring theme here with that being the price of BT Infinity, which is pretty amazing. It’s an intriguing way to interact with the public and a brilliant way to entice people into getting the broadband package as well as an opportunity to win some cool stuff! I’ll definitely be playing along, will you?
